| About the Memphis Public Tennis Centers
We went to great lengths in 2011 to assess the needs at Memphis Public Tennis Centers so that we can make the changes necessary to improve the level of customer service you experience at our centers in 2012. We feel our new mission to unleash tennis and raise the profile of the sport through our passion, programming, facilities and care for the welfare of our citizens and city accurately describes this objective. We intend to increase the exposure of the sport in all areas of our community and are commited to working with other partners and organizations to accomplish this goal. We sincerely appreciate all of our patrons and donors who made it possible for us to serve the community in 2011 and look forward to unleashing and advancing tennis in Memphis in 2012. Tennis Memphis is a diverse organization striving to enhance and change the lives of people of all ages and socio-economic backgrounds in our community through the game of tennis, and through educational and life skills programs.
Tennis Memphis has a contract with the City of Memphis to manage and operate the seven Memphis Public Tennis Centers. Tennis Memphis was founded in December 2001 and is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization. We are a Community Tennis Association governed by a Board of Directors and recognized by the United States Tennis Association (USTA).
